About Every Martian
Spiritual Wisdom & Common Sense for Modern Men
The Mission
EveryMartian.com exists to help men become who God intends them to be—as husbands, fathers, leaders, friends, and men of integrity.
The name "Martian" is a playful nod to John Gray's famous observation that "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus." We embrace this truth: men and women are different—and that's by design. Understanding those differences, and growing within them, is part of what makes marriage, family, and life work.
This platform serves men across all stages and roles: single men preparing for their future, husbands learning to lead with love, fathers raising the next generation, leaders seeking wisdom, and men of faith pursuing integrity in every area of life.

About Steven D. Mikel
I am Steven Mikel—a builder, a husband, a man restored by grace.
Professionally, I have spent over two decades as a web application architect, digital strategist, and founder of Comp Edge Solutions. I build tools, systems, and digital platforms that help businesses, ministries, and mission-driven organizations function better and grow with integrity.
But this site is not about technology. It is about something far more personal.
Why I Built This
I was first exposed to pornography at an extremely young age, which quickly developed into addictive behaviors that I battled for much of my life, secretly impacting many of my relationships. Then in 2009, a series of disappointments and stresses intensified those addictions and struggles and eventually led to wrongful, destructive choices that deeply affected my marriage, my career, and my emotional and spiritual well-being.
In 2019, while separated and living without accountability, I lost control completely. What began as secret behaviors escalated into multiple online relationships — one of which ultimately resulted in serious legal consequences. In September of that year, I was arrested, charged, and pled no contest to multiple felonies. On my knees with my head against a cold steel prison door, I had to face the truth: my life had unraveled through a long series of small, hidden, unchecked decisions.
I spent over seventeen months incarcerated awaiting sentencing, enduring fear, violence, isolation, and the hardships of COVID lockdowns. Yet even there, God met me with mercy. Through repentance, accountability, and God's grace, I was restored to my wife, and together we began the long but beautiful work of healing and reconciliation.
If my story can help even one man recognize the danger of hidden compromise and choose freedom before destruction, then it is worth telling.
My Greatest Partner: Joanna
I am profoundly grateful for my wife, Joanna, whom I have been married to since June 13, 1998. She is my greatest earthly gift—brilliant, compassionate, creative, and steady in every season of life.
Joanna's life and work reflect leadership, strength, and service, and her support behind the scenes makes much of what I do possible. Our marriage is built on faith, laughter, perseverance, deep friendship, and shared purpose.
Nothing I have built professionally stands apart from the life we have built together. The restoration of our marriage is living proof that God can redeem what seems irreparably broken.
The Heart Behind the Work
My personal and professional life is shaped by a Christian worldview centered on restoration, mercy, truth, and grace. While this platform welcomes men from all backgrounds, the content here is grounded in the conviction that we are designed for more than survival—we are designed for purpose.
Beyond my work in technology, I am also a writer, an artist, a student of Biblical history and theology, a lifelong learner, and a storyteller. I believe technology should serve the human story—not replace it.
Every Martian is built on that conviction: real wisdom, practical tools, and honest conversation—offered with transparency, craftsmanship, and long-term thinking.
Whether you are here to strengthen your marriage, find accountability, or simply grow as a man—welcome. You are not alone.
